Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need experience with barefoot massage?
No. Our Intro to Barefoot Massage class is designed for therapists who are completely new to barefoot work, but we also welcome seasoned barefoot practitioners. Many of our students have trained with other companies and still walk away having learned something new, practical, and valuable. Our approach is a little different. We focus on using your foot as a tool, practical application, critical thinking, and creating effective work that is sustainable for both therapist and client.
Are your classes approved for CE credit?
Yes. The LMT Refinery is an approved continuing education provider through NCBTMB and approved by CEBroker for credit in Florida, Georgia, and Michigan.

How many students are in each class?
We keep our class sizes intentionally small so you receive plenty of individual feedback and hands-on help. We cap our class at 6 students in our Florida location with the exception of our mat class with a max of 4 students.
What should I bring?
We will send you a detailed email before class, but typically you will need comfortable clothing, massage holster, linens, and a willingness to learn. We will never ask you to lug your table to class, or print your own manual.
